Gravity Lens Lab does not require an account. The current simulator does not ask for a name, email address, precise location, payment information, photograph, contact list, or personal profile. You can place a light source, change normalized mass, trace a result, and replay the experiment without submitting personal data through the interface.

Simulation values exist in the browser while the page is open. Source position, selected mass, experiment progress, and the current run number are used to draw the scene and update the teaching readout. This release does not store those values in a user account or send them to a custom server. Reloading the page starts a fresh experiment.

Google Analytics 4 is configured for optional aggregate measurement of page visits and simulator interactions such as source placement, mass changes, trace starts, completed experiments, replays, and opened questions. Gravity Lens Lab does not load the Google Analytics script or send analytics events before you explicitly choose Allow. Choosing No thanks keeps analytics disabled.

Your analytics choice is stored only in this browser’s localStorage under the site-specific key wpg-r2-04-gravity-lens-lab-analytics-consent, so the site can respect it on later visits. If you allow analytics, Google may process technical information associated with a page or interaction, including an online identifier, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, page path, and event details. Google’s processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

You can review, change, or withdraw your choice at any time with the Analytics choices control. Withdrawing sets analytics to disabled for future interactions in this browser; a later visit will not load Google Analytics unless you choose Allow again.

Review or withdraw analytics consent

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, infrastructure may process routine connection information needed to deliver and protect a page, such as an IP address, request time, requested path, browser user agent, and security signals. Cloudflare’s own policies govern processing performed by its platform.

The Contact and About pages link to the maintainer’s public GitHub profile. Visiting or using a contact route shown by GitHub is optional and is governed by GitHub’s privacy terms. Do not include personal, confidential, financial, medical, or authentication information in a report. A useful technical report needs only the browser, approximate viewport size, steps taken, expected behavior, and observed result.

This notice may change if the site’s actual data practices change. Material changes should be reflected here with a new effective date. The current public contact entry is the maintainer’s GitHub profile.
